Delicious Apple Minis

Preheat the oven to 200 °C (top and bottom heat).

In a bowl, beat the liquid butter with powdered sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy.

Add the egg(s) and a pinch of salt and whisk until frothy.

Whisk together the flour, baking powder and cornstarch. Stir in alternately with about 5 tbsp apple juice until a smooth batter forms.

Wash, peel and core the apple and cut into thin slices. Grease small loaf molds and place two apple slices in each.

Alternately add batter and apple slices into the molds until everything is used up.

Bake the mini cakes for about 25 minutes until golden.

While still warm, drizzle the cakes with Calvados or apple juice.

Let cool on a wire rack and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
