Sunken Pear and Chocolate Cake

Preheat the oven to 150 °C fan (conventional oven: 175 °C).

Peel the pears, remove the cores and cut them into wedges that are not too thin. Drizzle with lemon juice.

In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, cocoa powder and chocolate shavings well.

In a second bowl, lightly beat the egg. Stir in the sugar, oil and natural yogurt until well combined.

Fold in the flour mixture briefly, stirring only until no dry flour remains.

Pour the batter into the greased pan and smooth the surface. Arrange the pear wedges evenly on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 30–40 minutes.

Let the cake rest in the pan for about 10 minutes, then loosen it from the pan and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Decorate and serve as desired.
