Christmas Pastries

Preheat the oven to 180 °C (top and bottom heat) and grease the Christmas baking mold well.

Beat the soft butter with the sugar until creamy and the mixture is light and airy.

Add the vanilla sugar, Nutella, milk and the small egg to the butter-sugar mixture and mix until smooth.

Mix the flour and baking powder in a separate bowl.

Fold the flour mixture into the wet ingredients just until no dry flour is visible.

Spoon the batter into the greased molds, filling them about two-thirds to three-quarters full.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20–25 minutes, until the little cakes are cooked through.

Let the finished little cakes rest in the mold for 5 minutes.

Carefully turn the little cakes out of the molds and let them cool completely on a wire rack.

After cooling, dust with powdered sugar or decorate with icing as desired.
