Chocolate Cookies

Preheat the oven to 190°C (top and bottom heat) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roughly chop the milk chocolate.

Beat the soft butter with the sugar and a pinch of salt until creamy.

Add the egg yolk and vanilla sugar and mix briefly until well combined.

Sift the flour and cocoa powder into the butter mixture, add the chopped chocolate and mix everything into a uniform dough.

Scoop walnut-sized portions, shape into balls and place them on the baking sheet with enough space between them.

Bake the cookies for 10–12 minutes, then let them rest on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes and finish cooling on a wire rack.
