Strawberry Liqueur

Wash the strawberries thoroughly, remove the stems and halve the berries.

Wash the lime with hot water and cut it into thin slices.

Place the strawberries, lime slices, rock sugar and the vanilla pod into a tightly sealing jar and fill with Doppelkorn until everything is covered. Close the jar tightly.

Let the mixture infuse for 6 weeks, storing it in a dark, preferably cool place.

Strain the liqueur through a fine sieve and, if desired, filter it once more. Pour into clean bottles and seal well.
