Poppy Seed Ice Cream

Weigh out and prepare all ingredients.

Place whole milk, cream, sugar, vanilla sugar, poppy-seed paste and egg in a bowl and whisk thoroughly until evenly combined.

Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions until it is creamy and noticeably thickened.

Alternatively, pour the ice cream mixture into a freezer-safe container and let it set in the freezer.

As soon as the poppy seed ice cream is firm enough, fill into dessert glasses and serve to taste, for example with hot raspberries.
