Strawberry Shake with Vanilla Ice Cream

Wash the strawberries, remove the stem ends and cut into pieces.

Set aside a few particularly nice strawberries for the garnish.

Put the remaining strawberries with the lemon juice, sugar and about half of the milk into the blender and puree finely.

Add the remaining milk and the vanilla ice cream and blend briefly on the lowest setting until creamy.

Pour the strawberry shake into 4 glasses, garnish with the strawberries set aside and serve with thick drinking straws.
