Snowball Cookies

Put the Amarettini into a food storage bag and crush them finely with a rolling pin or a glass bottle.

Put the light sponge cake into a bowl and crumble finely with your hands or a fork.

Add the crushed Amarettini to the cake crumbs and mix everything well.

Stir sugar, cocoa powder and cherry juice in a small bowl until the sugar has completely dissolved.

Gradually add the cocoa-cherry mixture to the crumb mixture and combine into a dough that can be shaped.

Form small balls from the dough.

Put 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar into a small, shallow bowl and roll the balls all around in it.

Decorate the snowballs with chocolate glaze if desired and place them in small paper praline cups.
